What it is
Consumption control prevents surprises on the company’s AI bill. Each person has a monthly AI spending limit. When the limit runs out, the AI stops responding to that person until the next month, or until an administrator raises the limit. With it you can:- Track how much each person has used this month.
- Set the company’s default limit and different limits for people who need more (or less).
- Block a person’s AI access when needed.
How the limit works
How to access
Open the Admin Panel
Under Management, click Users
Track everyone’s usage
In the Users list, the Usage / Limit column shows, for each person:- the tokens used this month and, with the view costs permission, the amount spent;
- the percentage of the limit already used;
- a status label:
Track one person’s usage
Click the person’s row to open their details. There you see:- Monthly usage — how much of the limit has been used and when it renews.
- Usage over time — chart for the chosen period.
- AI consumption — the models and agents the person used most.
- User activity — the person’s conversations and AI runs.

Best practices
- Set a realistic default for the company and use individual limits only for exceptions, like people who work with large documents or automated flows.
- Watch the “Near limit” label so you can act before someone loses access in the middle of an important task.
- Check model prices in Settings → Models. Without a price, usage doesn’t count toward the limit.
- Prefer blocking over a zero limit to suspend someone: the message to the person is clearer.
- Technical accounts used in integrations and automated flows may need their own limit.

Known limitations
- The limit is always monthly and in dollars. There’s no daily or token-count limit.
- You can’t set “no limit” from the screen: every person has the default limit or an individual limit.
- Changing limits and blocking is exclusive to the Master profile.
- Values depend on the price configured for each model.
- Users see their own usage as a percentage, never in money.
